You'd always been fascinated with the idea of a good standoff between two equally dangerous men who were fighting against eachother for the love of a lady.
But as you sat by the road, your hands tied behind your back, leaning against the wooden beam of the general store, you immediatly took back all the exciting fantasies of a showdown. You watched as Alfred glared at his opponent with a danger sparking in his eyes that you never even knew he could muster.
The rough ropes twisted into your wrists, causing them to burn uncomfortably. You sat crosslegged in the dirt, your arms pulled behind your back. The fancy dress you wore fanned out around you, probably being sullied to the point of no return by the dusty ground.
The town was silent, waiting. There was no breeze to push a tumble weed across the road. Alfred, with one hand on the gun at his side, glared at the other man still.
His opponent returned the glare. "Just give it up already!" He yelled in his thick southern accent, breaking the tense silence. You could see that most of his teeth were either missing, or a rotten gray color.
"No! You should be the one to give up!" Alfred retorted, "(Name) is mine, and she will always be mine!"
You smiled softly, despite the danger of the situation. You wanted to yell out 'I love you, Alfie! Kick some southern ass' but the possible consequences kept you quiet.
"Well... now she's mine!" The man said with a smarmy smile upon his sun cracked lips. He rested one hand on the hilt of his own gun that was in the holder at his side.
Alfred tightened the grip on his weapon. "Do you know the best time to kill a man?" Riddled he, right before he whipped out the gun at lightning speed and shot his opponent two times in the chest without even a flinch.
"When he doesn't even know it's coming." Alfred finished.
You gasped as the loud bangs echoed in your ears. The man fell to his knees with a deathly groan. He held one hand to his wounds, blood dripping through his clothes and onto his greasy fingers, eventually falling to soak the dusted ground in ruby red drops.
Alfred dropped his own weapon with a clatter and sprinted to your side. "(Name)? Are you okay?" Asked he, taking his hat off and tossing it to the side carelessly so he could lean in and send a kiss on your lips.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," you rolled your eyes as he once again pecked your lips in relief, "just untie me."
Alfred leaned away, a devilish smirk upon his face. "No, I think I'll keep you tied up, ma'am." He grabbed his hat and placed it on his head, his blue eyes sparking mischeiviously under the rim.
"What? No, untie me this instant!" You commanded.
Ignoring your demands, your lover picked you up by the waist and set you on the saddle of his nearby horse.
You struggled against the bonds as Alfred heaved himself upon the saddle behind your body. "Come on, (Name), just for a bit longer?"
His arms were on either side of your hips. He gripped the reins and flicked them slightly, causing the white beast to start a soft walk away from the small town.
You gave up a struggle and muttered, "You sadist..."
Chuckling, he kissed your cheek from his spot behind you. "Don't tell me you don't enjoy it."
"I still don't see why you haven't untied me yet!" Protested you.
"Because when we get home," he whispered huskily, "we're going to play a game. I'll be the heroic cowboy, and you'll be the damsel in distress."

Alfie, come on, catch me if you can! " You yelled, erupting in cheerful, yet challenging, laughter.
How you loved these afternoons when you could forget about taking care of the animals, behaving properly and being what your parents expected you to be. It wasn't always easy to be a young girl in times like this; when girls are expected to serve the males, and doing the house work. Especially since your family wasn't exactly rich and thus you had to do work that probably wasn't suitable for a girl at all but the other option was to marry while you were still a child, barely eight. Meeting Alfred F. Jones for the first time was quite the thing.
His interesting personality; jaunty, obnoxious and definitely loud was a great factor.
With his cowlick - Nantucket and glasses - Texas; it was already like America packed in one.
And for some odd reason, his friends did call him America. Why? You didn't know.
Yet.
...
Alfred came rushing into your room one morning after a short sleepover, as he was begging you to watch horror movies with him - but it all ended badly, with Alfred literally on you, about to wet his pants from his level of fright.
"(Name)!" You heard him yell over the top of his lungs.
"What is it, Al?" You

"Papa?" you called softly, tugging on the fabric of America's pants.
He frowned. "What's wrong?"
"I-I had a nightmare. I want to stay in here with you."
He smiled and nodded quietly. "If that's what you want, my princess."
America was currently sitting at his desk, working through a stack of paperwork. He seemed to be getting double his usual amount of paperwork, which wasn't fun for either of you. America knew that you wanted to spend time with him, but he knew that he had to get his work done.
You crawled up onto his bed, snuggling under the covers. You tried to fall asleep, but after a few minutes, you huffed in annoyance and shifted
